New Scam - Checks out on Snopes...

Omaha Steaks

I make it a point to take a mid afternoon nap. Some time between surfing TDR time and E-bay time works out well. I figure that I could be asked to work at any moment, so I better be rested up and ready to do so. remember you don't have to be awake to be productive.

One morning, a driver came in early and drove away with me in the back. When he opened the door at the first delivery, he was suprised!

Hey Torque, how far was his (and yours) first stop from the loading point? I hope it wasn't far away!

My brother fell asleep at our work (we work together, different departments in a museum). He put two banquet chairs facing eachother, in the storage room, and took a nap "at lunch" (it was lunchtime, but not sure if it was his lunch hour). The Director found him there, woke him up. The director is my boss's boss, and his boss's boss, but it's a small place and no punishment was involved. Rick (Director) told me about it, then made a joke at a going-away-lunch for another employee. Poor Sean's face turned so red.

Oh, and he denied everything to non-witnesses. But, his drywall-dust footprints on the opposite chair gave him up.

We can go out to our vehicles at lunch and nap, or find a hiding place. I work in the Ops department, I know where ALL the good hiding places are :)

After a long day a DC-6 (aircraft) will lull you to sleep with four piston powered prop engines turning. I've curled up in the engine blankets and slept the entire ride home more than once.

By that you mean sleeping AT work or sleeping AT NIGHT!! :D  :-laf

Sometimes I feel pretty low when I'm checking out the underside of the school bus seats and the janitors are recieving calls to clean up vomit in the 200 hall :-laf :p

OK. Not really.

when I was in the Air Force and working mids we used to safety wire our hands up in the air when under the Helicopter. lay on the creeper, safety wire hands up and it looked as though you were working. Get a bit of a nap there. !!

This is what I had to deal with:

If I was going to get any "quality time" it would have been gotten in this office. The company would have been pizz'ed at me posting these pics, but this plant is closed and is now a grass field. :D

The office itself was about 7'x6' and was wall to wall alarms as you can see. I couldnt get all of them in just one pic of a wall, because there was alarms from the floor to the cieling. :{ I also had about 20 acres of "stuff" I had to watch.

Question?

Did I nap there? You betcha!! :-laf :-laf

I fell asleep while I was stopped by the local police. :-laf

I was doing good at 75 mph with the windows down and the radio up.

But... they ruined it for me. :D

I put in plenty of hours too, just at one job.

Both really. If you fall asleep at work during the day it could be an indicator of a sleep problem at night.

i know i have a sleep problem at night. . the only shift i ever slept good on was 1600-2359. . i'd get home around 0100, and usually was in bed by 0400. . got up between 0900-1100 and was never tired. social life didn't exist during the week with those hours :(

not looking forward to getting up at 0500 tomorrow

No kidding there is something about the sound and sway of an airplane that just makes you want to sleep. One time on a 4 Hr night solo I had to stick my head out the window at 120knots, 12. 5 MSL. That will wake you up in a hurry. If my passengers start snoring I will pull power aim at the ground and start screaming. That usually takes care of the snoring/sleeping all together.
