I just thought I wanted a Bright Silver until I saw this color. Don't get me wrong Bright Silver looks great on the Rams, BUT this is the color I've always wanted in a truck. Maybe it's just a personal preference but I think it's one of the best colors Dodge has come out with.

Heres a pic of it:

A color like that needs chrome, in my opinion. It looks about like the color of my daughter's Saturn and that looks too plain without chrome. I like the color tho

Is it just the angle of the picture or does that truck have body side molding all the way back?

Color is good. Mine is all forest green. I got hooked on the Patriot Blue when I first saw it, almost considered trading but I made it.

I think it's just the angle of the photo. I pulled that pic off the Mark Roberts website. I'm looking for a better one to post.

As far as I know, the tightwads as DC have all but taken the side molding off the new trucks. I think it's just a strip along the cab now. I also wish they would make the two tones again.

Wishful dreaming I guess

I've seen one that color at the dealer, the picture doesn't do it justice at all, looks too dark. It would be my second choice after Driftwood if it was still availible. How does Bright Silver compare to Driftwood?

illflem, the bright silver is the same as the silver on the caravans or any other Dodge you have seen in bright silver. my last 3500 was driftwood and I at first liked it more than the silver but the silver is starting to grow on me... ... ... ... ... Pete

That will be a great color for the lower of a two tone. My last three trucks were silver with metalic gray lowers. (GM's):(

Wonder what a shop will charge to paint my silver trucks lowers:D

I've seen two "up close and personal" on different lots. Both were Sports. I was checking them out to see if I wanted to change the color on my order. Having now seen the Graphite, the Bright Silver Metallic has the most contrast (gradient) where the body lines change and shows off those lines the best, so that's what I'm sticking with.

I've had too silver Dodges now. Not my # 1 choice of color. But I do like that like that dark color. Guy at work has that color on a 1/2 ton. Looks great.

Bill:

I sold my canopy off my Driftwood to another TDR member that had a new "silver" truck. IMHO they are two distinct colors. The Silver is just that and does not have the brown tones you get with Driftwood when the sun hits it. I like the Driftwood better and would get it again over any other color if they still offered it.

Not trying to start a "war" on colors. Opinions on what is the "best" color are just like armpits, everyone has them.

well I tried to get that color when I ordered my '02 3500 QC H. O. Only problem was, ... it was only available for the 1500 and 2500 trucks, but not the 3500s :( . So I've got a Silver Metallic 3500 on the way instead :p .

Just my opinion but that would look great with Ranch hand bumpers-black and black tool box and bed rails. With chrome stacks and wheels. I think my 02 will be that color.

Well, Thanks for ruining my dream truck. :( ;)

I guess I'll have to wait a little longer. I still got a few years before I can even think about a new one. Maybe they'll have changed their mind by then.

yup...

jsoloman--just read my birthday wishes to steve in the other forum. also like drive-in burger joints, '57 bel-airs and '58 fords, etc. born in '61. graphite metallic STILL needs chrome-IMHO, of course

Aloha gentlemen, I purchased a graphite 2500 about 3 weeks ago, caught my eye from down the block. What really got me was that my dealer is taking the base model trucks, i. e. single cab, 4x4, vinyl, crank windows, but with auto,a. c. , and they are putting American racing rims, Spray bedliner, and and tinted windows. A really good idea to move the base models, and it looks great too.

This is my first experience with a diesel, had a 96 1500 sport but figured id upgrade to a diesel to pull my boat and horses. Great info on this website, ive already taking the silencer ring out, and ready to move up to a PE box or something. You know how it goes. Anyway thanks in advance for all the great info.
