2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Anyone had issues with Tailgates rusting?

My 95' 2500 has NO rust on the tail gate at all. Just a tiny spot on bottom of drivers door. 9 years and 150k miles in the rust belt of northern wisconsin. It has had full length running boards from day one, could be the reason. My wifes 95' 1500 has had no running boards and is getting quite rusty below the drivers door. Only has 85k miles on it.

Tailgate on my 95 is fine. Cab corner on pass. side, and rocker on driver side, and both door seams rusting.

My 91 K5 blazer didnt have a spot on it.

What is the warranty on rust. The bottom of my Drivers door has begun to rot through.

Of course, they never use any salt Oo. here in Pittsburgh either.

I planned on fixing it myself this summer, but if there is a warranty, I will let DC screw it up first.

5 years, but it has to be rusted through. You have a little while left though
