We had 4 until 1996

My Grandmother passed away at 82 in June1997

My dad

Myself

My son was born in june 1996

It was only for a short period, but we have a nice portrait of all 4 generations togther when my son was only a few months old. We gave it to my grandmother as a christmas gift, and I got it back after she passed.

I was glad to have a son because I was the last one with the family name. We have a large family, but I was the only boy. One sister, and 10 cousins, all girls.

We had 5 up until a couple years ago, now we have 4, we may have 5 again (with any luck) in a couple years though. Three of four grandparents are still with us, and in great health, and the great-grand-kids are grownin' up real quick.

Somehow I get the feeling that 5 is going to be right around the corner for my family:rolleyes: Hopefully not as soon as we think.

How many grandbabys you gonna have?I thought(course I could be wrong cause I'm:confused: )that your sons wife was going to pop on and now you say your daughter is hatching one. Thats all this world needs is more Whitmore blood:eek:

We did have 5gs but the wifes grandmother passed away a few years ago. We had a picture put in the local paper at that time.

I dont know how it works out, but my great, great aunt and uncle are still alive... they are in their 90's, and he still gets out and works cows..... I will try to get it traced back and see how it works. .

We had five until about a month ago when my wife's paternal grandmother passed. She was 92, sharp as a tack and could still get around quite well.

When my Grandma died a couple of years ago her oldest Great-great granddaughter was 11 ( all females in that line, GG Grandma, G Grandma, Grandma, mother , daughter) and her oldest GG Grandson was 3 (GG Grandma, G Grandma, Grandpa, father, son)

A few years ago, my sister had a pic taken with:

Great grandmother (90something)

Grandmother (70something)

Father (50 something)

Sister (20 something)

Her first baby (brand spankin' new).

My great grandmother passed away shortly after that, then my grandmother a year or two later. But we had 5 gens for a little bit!
