So the graphic pictures contained here are the aftermath of a 175,000 mile NV4500 that had factory fill until recently when it got Redline oil which I do not believe had anything to do with the damage. It's more likely the attempt to pull a sled in 4th low on a tight clay track with BFG Mud Terrains did the damage. The input shaft is a 1 3/8 inch upgrade and no I don't make that much power as you can see by my signature. I had pulled this track in 4th low before but it was raining and muddy at the time. The following is for your enjoyment. :-laf
So I finally got my NV4500 all apart and its not very pretty but can be rebuilt if I can find a counter shaft. Here is what mine looks like.

I had to wedge chisels in between the input shaft piece and the gears in order to get the rest of the input shaft out. :-{}

But my fifth gear nut looked great:-laf
