Anyone have any experience w/ Capital Dodge in NC?

My dad just bought a new to him 05 QC LB 3500 LWB G56 2wd on a cross country trip from Cali to NC. He's having a fair amount of trouble with it, but the short list is: losing oil, white smoke, dash gauge cluster is intermitant. The place he bought it at in AZ told him to take it to a dealer in NC when he arrived and they would work out something to take care of at least some of the repair costs.



Anyway, he took it to Capital Dodge near Raliegh. He suspects that at least some of what was on the list of parts and completed tasks wasn't done right or at all. I'm sorry i don't have the invoice, but they claim they replaced the clutch, but from what he can tell the bolts do not look like they were removed at all. The truck is still loosing oil and has white smoke. He's considering having another dealer or shop do a second opinion. Can anyone recommend anyone?



Does anyone know anything about this dealer? I know there are lots of people in this forum that work at dealers, and I am in no way trying to flame anyone, just trying to find out more info.

i cannot speak for capitol dodge in raleigh. however, if your dad is coming to nc via cali on the most direct route, he will travel via i-40 and will go thru burlington, nc 40 miles before he reaches raleigh. nichols dodge is in burlington, right off i-40. i have had first rate service from nichols over the years. bear in mind,however..... everyone's experience is different! regards, steve whalen

I have never done business with either Capitol Dodge or Nichols Dodge but I can say do not go to McBrayer Dodge in Aberdeen, NC. My experience with them showed them to be the most arrogant, uncaring and INCOMPETENT bunch of people that I have ever dealt with.

I've tried to business with these guys and I ended up going to Chris Leith Dodge (Wake forest, NC) instead. As far as NC goes. . my best experience has been with Steve White Motors where I bought my present 06 Mega 3500 Dually. I've never had much luck doing any business in Raleigh.

Thanks guys. He is living in Garner, NC. right now. He was able to get his second opinion, and they think that it looked like the work had been done. Made him fell better. As soon as he's able to get web setup at his place he'll be able to join up. Again, thanks for the advice on shops over there.
