Just reading the features, I would say the single disc tc won't hold up to any real power. Also, their warranty is not up to what you get from ATS, Suncoast or DTT. I would suggest the extreme rebuild kit, valve body and tc from Suncoast if you want to save some money. A full transmission has things done that no regular transmission shop can do, so if you can afford it, go that way.

OK so it's $2k. does that include shipping? For another $1500 you can have a trans built by one of the big 3 that will well out last any stock trans or for that matter stock rebuilt or ebay unit. MHO

i posted in the other thread that the trans was questionable at best ,well... i broke it last night :{ now i have to tow it back to shop and wait 6-8 wks for a replacement again because their service stinks!! this is my 3rd trans since january!! still havent gotten my core charge back from the first one!! i would love a refund so i could afford to do it right this time !! please people, learn from the mistakes of others goto one of the recomended shops and do this once, youll save alot more in the long run in just towing fees and nothing is more valuable than peace of mind . we love /depend on our trucks you wouldnt cheap-out on a lesser item dont dare do it now !

DCreed, sorry to hear about that! Hope you get it worked out. I would insist on a full refund, maybe talk to an attorney if you can. Also check with Ebay and see if you can post a negative somehow if you already left feedback.

I followed the fix-it-right philosophy and have a full Suncoast with billet input and laminated flexplate coming in monday (finally, been a nightmare, without the truck for 3 weeks so far) and will be on the road monday or tuesday!

I was leery of the single disk converter. I was looking on Goerend's site, and they put a triple disc in all their trannies.

Does anyone know if the Goerend VB allows lockup in all gears? I've been leaning towards their products since they're here in Iowa.

thanks btowler:) hope u get up n runnin soon! im lookin into the legal details now;) if it sounds too good to be true...

I don't see anything on the Goerends site about a lock-up controller which is required for lock-up below third. The only other way is with the "mystery switch", but if you forget and leave it on while stopping you can fry your transmission.
