Anyone Have Class V Hitch on 03 or 04?

Has anyone put a class V Hitch on their 03 or 04 Rams. Did you remove the class IV or put it below it? I would really like to see a pic if possible. Also, what brand and how much did it cost? Thanks.

Below is a picture of a superhitch by torklift .

They have a dealer network - you can search for a dealer on their website. It attaches around the factory hitch and leaves both receivers. It is rated 15000/1500lbs without load equalization. Here are more pictures of my hitch

Did either of you guys have to cut your factory hitch or drill the frame.

I have the Tork-Lift also, and yes the factory hitch was cut off.



I look at it as a way to reduce weight.

I have the same SuperHitch as Red Ramrod... . the factory hitch stays in place.

i too have the superhitch and factory hitch stays in place on mine. superhtch bolts up onto frame and also fastens to fctory hitch.



no cutting and no new holes drilled. this superhitch is a beefy sucka. i have confidence it will do the job



had a welding shop build me a 42 inch extention with solid and hollow tubes for a quarter of the price of the superhitch extention.

I have the Reese Titan class 5 on mine. It is supposed to bolt underneath the factory hitch but mine got bent in an accident so I removed it. The factory hitch is also the rear frame crossmember so it should stay but I didn't, I did plate the ends of the frame to help support the bed and the new hitch is my crossmember now.
