Anyone have fog lights on a 1998.5 diesel truck?

Hello everyone, i have just one question does anyone out there have a 1998. 5 diesel truck with fog lights. I have installed them myself with a kit i bought and now the dealer is telling me that i can not get a switch for them, that dodge didnt put fog lights on 1998. 5 diesel trucks. So if anyone has them, where is the switch for them? I dont know if they are just to lazy to look it up or what the deal is, thanks nick kingsley

Yep they did but not on the auto. However it will fit. I just bought the kit with the switch plate and the harness. The switch is located where the passenger airbag on/off switch is on the dash. Check www.mopar4less.com for phone number and call. They will get it for you and cheaper than dealer. When you call don't forget to ask for internet parts.

I have a 1998. 5 3/4 ton CTD with the factory fog lights. The switch for the fog lights are in the same hole as the shut-off switch for the passenger side airbag.

Same here. 98. 5 manual. factory installed. Switch is over by airbag switch. Only I never turn them off.
I replaced them with CATZ MSC's after burning holes through the factory ones trying to get 1/2 the light out of them the CATZ put out #ad
. You know your lights are worthless when you got to turn them off and on to see there even working!

I added factory foglights to my 98. 5. The install was pretty easy, except I had not planned on the bumper being so **** heavy. Have a friend help with that part... Aligning the bumper can be tricky.

The switch for my fogs came with the kit. Even had a new bezel for the airbag switch. It all looked stock. #ad
Cost was about $150 for the kit.

Thanks everyone for the information. It was really helpful for me. I did order the kit from mopar4less, but i guess they sent me the wrong switch. But everything else worked. So i guess i will call them tomorrow and get the right switch. (they sent me a switch like a 1999 has). Just one more thing anyone have the kit number handy, it would probably help when i go to order or get my new switch. Just again thanks, nick

My 98. 5 Auto has them... I bought it used, guess the previous owner must have installed them. I thought they were factory. Just one more thing learned from the TDR. #ad

I got them on my 98. 5 5 speed. The switch if over by the airbag switch which is below the extra power output.

Tell that Dodge dealer that they are full of patooie!!!

bignick33, here is the number you are looking for. I just installed this the other night.
"1 PIECE #82204221 INSTALL PKG/FOG LIGHT. You get the plate, switch, and harness. Remember you will need 1 more relay. Only one comes in the kit and you need two. Check out Dave Fritz's page. Instructions are to a "T".
