i found a bullet exhaust system for sale. 550 for a stainless steel complete system. looks alot like the hog performance kit. comes with a 5. 5 or 6" tip. What do you all think?

Good Price

Wow... $550 is an excellent price for stainless steel exhaust. I've not heard of the brand, but I'm very interested in this. Count me in if this is a good product!!!

I dont know about the bullet exhaust system. Price sounds good. I have been selling the Hog Exhaust Systems and putting them on for the last 3 weeks. I have not had a lick of trouble, nor have I heard a single complaint from my customers. The guys at Hog are great to deal with and they have alot of product to offer. I didn't want the extra noise inside the truck. I just wanted lower EGT's. They have a muffler that is great. They also have a straight trought muffler, a muffler eliminator pipe, and about 5 or 6 tips to choose from. The system mounts up perfect.

Hey Brad,

I think I started all the HOG talk a while back... I stumbled across them, and thought that they looked pretty good. I am still inerested in them. I had actually contacted them with a question, but have not heard back. Maybe you can answer the question for me.

Would it be possible to have the 4" system from turbo to muffler, then use a 4"-5" conversion pipe to connect a 5" tailpipe and then use a 6" tip?

I like the looks of 5" exhaust, but won't need a full 5". Prob will never "need" the 5"... just like the look, as corny as that sounds.

Hey AndyMan,

I don't think that what you are doing will work with their system. Their 6" tip has a 4" flange on the back side to go over the 4" exhaust. If you convert your exhaust to 5" first then the tip wont slide over it. Their 6" tip is 24" long. It makes the exhaust look great. I am trying to make their 6" tip work on my truck now.

Bullet & Hog Exhaust??

I'd like to keep this thread alive a bit longer fellas.

The Bullett exhaust system that xxCumminsxx mentioned LOOKS like the real deal. As said before, it is on ebay for a 4", stainless exhaust - $550. This is a great deal! Surely someone around here has taken advantage of this?? Inquiring minds want to know if this is too good to be true??

Regarding the Hog system..... can someone refer me to a link where I can find some info on this exhaust system? Thanks!

I spoke to HOG

I spoke to the manufacturers of the HOG system. These guys are top notch over the phone. Real easy to work with and patient with questions. The guy I spoke with was named "Mike". I didn't think to ask them whether or not their system is identical to that Bullett system mentioned above. The HOG system give you a choice of 3 mufflers -- mild to wild in sound as they described. You also get a choice of exhaust tip. Sounds like they use a higher grade stainless steel than most out there too... .

I'm seriously contemplating placing an order.

I was looking at the HOG system too. I sent them a email today to see what the price is. I know stainless will be $$$. Any where you can hear what it sounds like?

Just Ordered Mine....

I just ordered my Hog 4" exhaust today!! I chose the "standard" muffler which is the middle of the road as far as noise level goes. One neat feature of their standard muffler is that you can reverse the muffler if you want it louder/quieter. I also chose their 6" tip to admire from the rear -- this thing is going to look like a big horn sticking out!! I can't wait for it to arrive. :D

Yesterday I ordered the Diesel Dynamics Power Module. Today I ordered the new exhaust. Life is good!! :D Now I'm gonna have to shop for a hunk of jewelry to settle the wife down!!! I'll do so right after I buy some guages :D

If there's any interest on the new exhaust, let me know and I'll keep you informed.

Ischultz..... I'm not aware of anywhere you can actually hear their system. Do yourself a favor though... . don't email HOG - CALL THEM - NOW and be sure to ask for "Mike" :D

Will do....

Will do Andy... .

I purchased a Bullydog exhaust system a few months back for my 2001 Ram CTD (recently sold her). It will be interesting to see how the two compare.

Unfortunately, I don't have guages installed (yet) to be able to determine what the reduction in EGTs are.

Hog Exhaust

I am sure you will like your new exhause. Their 6" tip is a freeken "POTATO launcher". It looks really great on the back of these trucks. The only thing is on the rear hanger for the tail pipe you have to place it in the rubber first. It goes in from the front to the rear. Then you have to force it under the exhaust. It doesn't look like it will work but it does. It makes the tailpipe real solid.

Intense Marine....

Do you have any pics of the HOG with a 6" tip?? I'd love to check it out. Also, thanks for the tips on the install --- i'm sure it will come in handy. You wouln't happen to be stationed here in Virginia would ya?? I could always use a hand with install ;)
