Any one heard of this company based out of Southern California? Heres the link -

I guess they have a 300hp downloader for the 600s and a 215 hp one for the 555 motors. All power levels are measured at the crank. I never heard of them so I figured if they made anything good someone here would know. Check it out and tell me what you guys think. I found it through my buddy who just bought a Durajunk and he's having them do his trans and motivation. Any how, thanks for your thoughts!

in the TDR mag they did a box shootout and PPE was one they tested, I hadn't heard of them before that. their 130 hp box sounds interesting in the fact that it lies to the computer telling it that it has boost even if there isn't any to get it to fuel down low. It sounds like it might be good to stack with a TST!

hey-- no never heard of them, but i gotta wonder if that 330' ft smoke show was w/ no brake !if there was no brake i guess his *** end would walk out ,one way or another?any how cool vidio clips&link!,i dont understand how they get that power w/o a box?you can un-that kind of through your ecm?also i wonder what parameters are being "tweaked"?did you see any dyno #?thanks for info!!---LA

I called them today and they were kinda vague about details, but I did find out for our trucks they do duration and timing and such, but no pressure. SOOOO. . . . . . . you could stack a presure box on top of it! Looks to me like another version of the Bully Dog Downloader. One thing I liked - 3700 rpm rev limiter mod! If that is no defueling till 3700 that may be worth it by its self!

It almost seems as if the company has something to "hide"..... almost all other manufacturers of programmers / boxes advertise hp gains at the rear wheels... why did they choose not to ?

That is a very good question. I'm sure that a chassy dyno is much more economical both in price and usability than an engine dyno. Also, they say that they are the ones who make the programs and such, so I would have expected them to be much more interested in answering my questions and actually explain them. When I called I had to basically promt the guy to get answers which for the most part were yes or no with no explaination, and at times it almost seemed like he was kinda just trying to tell me what I wanted to hear, like agreeing with me when I asked something, ya know? Also, I asked about temps on high level, he said 1400* POST turbo! Little toasty. I'd put that somewhere around 1600-1700* preturbo, right? thats hot.

come'on guys. some of you have heard of them, just don't know it. They are the company that Moolie is always chanting about. :D

i've heard of ppe and there was lots of talk about them with the dmax was pretty new as they came out with some of the first boxes for them... that's all about i know about them

I haven't seen any dyno sheets to back up what Moolie is stating. None of his links work and I haven't heard of anyone that's tried one.

I'm wondering if this isn't the same company that claimed some great numbers and showed a dyno, yelled out the numbers and had the video camera pointing to the floor, never showing the actual dyno numbers.

Also, on PPE's website, on their video page, the bottom video has this written next to it:

" Engineer Joe returned to the staging lanes where he was paired with a Nissan 240SX turbo that was highly modified. Wait till you see the beating our diesel truck put on him as we ran a 7. 41 at 97-mph!"

Can someone tell me how this is possible? :-laf :-laf

I think that video might have been of moolie's truck. At least I think he said he taped it and sent it to the company for there website

I just had them install an ATS transmission in my truck about two weeks ago. I know for the DMax their stuff runs pretty good. I went to the 1/8th miles races in SAn Diego the other night and there was a 2wd reg cab Dmax that was pretty quick. He claims he was only runnig the HOT xcelerator by PPE. I know they have a Chassis Dyno in the shop, so I do not know why they would be claiming Flywheel Horsepower. I can see if they will dyno my truck how it is then put their HOT box on and dyno again. I will kepp you posted.
