Anyone near Auburn Hills, MI??

MNTDR at RockFalls

well it looks like no Edgewater or Tri-state. Edgewater has noone to run track on said weekend, as they all are going to Indy. Tri-state is booked already.

So who is up for a greet and grillout

That's too bad... I'm still up for a grillout, though - when's best for everyone?

Chris

hey guys it's hard to tell when would be good for me but if im free I will be there and Im sure I could talk a few other smokers into a road trip anybody traveling 71 South be prewarned LOL. :-laf

Well, I'm free most any weekend. Saturday or Sunday is fine by me. Any one except Scheid's weekend and maybe Clermont County Fair weekend (Sept 18?), as I might be pulling :).

Chris

When's a good day, guys? Come on! :D:D Also, I'm on some Cincy performance car sites, too, and I found a post over there saying there was a red second-gen Dodge diesel running 10-flats at Edgewater. Is this BS, or is there a 10-second Cummins running around in this area?!

Chris

It's kind of ashame this post got so side tracked with all this non-sence about EdgeWater, renting tracks and so forth. This was suppose to be a FIRST time meet. Not even clubs that have been meeting on a regular basis could come up with enough money and competitors to rent a track for a few guy's to run around on the 1/4 mile! This is a first time meet, there is no organization, members, or anything else neede to properly run a truck club. Isn't it enough for a few members that live in the general area, to get together and see who turns up? Talk about their trucks and meet one another, while sharing a drink or so. I think the first meet should be very, very casual, if you would like to grill some thing good, if not thats ok maybe even meet at a restrunt and talk there. What needs to happen is set a date, time and place.

hello all, i would try to make the drive down when i know a date. would be nice to meet some fellow tdr members.

Chris,

Not trying to hijack your idea of a get together but why don't we make this kinda like a cruise-in. I think a Friday or Saturday evening at a parking lot that has fast food places all around, somewhere trendy would be great. The steak and shake at the Milford bypass as a huge cruise-in every Friday night, maybe a location like this would be ideal since its close to I-275. Show up, eat if you want, but most important we all get to talk truck. If we keep it casual then maybe we can do it more often.

What do you think fella's? sound like a good idea? Would that location be ok on Saturday afternoon/evening on the 11th?

Paul, that sounds like a good idea to me. How many trucks do you guys think we'll get? If we have more than ten or so, I think we're going to need to talk to the place where we're meeting. I know the guys at the Milford cruise had to get Kroger's permission to use the lot, and there used to be a big ricer cruise-in out near Forest Fair that kept getting into trouble by not asking first - ricers  :D:D hahaha.

Is there a BW-3's in Milford anywhere? Any other restaurants with a similar atmosphere? I know there's one a little farther south on 275. We could meet at that White Castle there across from Arby's :-laf .

Chris

By the way, anyone know of a brown 2500 with a HUGE "I'd rather be cummin' than strokin' " sticker in his back window? I saw him a week or two ago shortly after I got my truck, down in Reading. He's the only fellow Cummins guy who's waved at me on the road so far :).

Chris

Chris,

Not being from around the area it would be best if you picked the location, besides its your idea anyhow. BW3 website lists a whole bunch of locations for the Cinci area. Lets just agree on somewhere and not let the idea fizzle out.

Now this time I am gona hijack the thread! Week this Thursday Sept 2nd I am going up to Kilkare drag strip for test and tune night. Any TDR guys like to come along it is a fun time. Its easy to spot my truck, license plate is "DEZAL" Times are 5-9 cost $5 to spectate or $15 car and driver if you want to run.

Chris, back on subject. Maybe if we send you a PM to let you know if we can make the get together, you can do the head count.

Paul

I am sorry to have taken the idea of a get together past what those here were looking for. Edgewater wouldn't have cost anyone else much, if anything at all. I like to run my ram at the strip, and could care less if there was just 2 trucks running. It just gives me more turns.

I would like to come to a meet wherever everyone else decides it should happen.

Can I come too??? Please??
