Sorry it's been a few days! I went out of town for the weekend and I just got back in. The tubing is aluminized and I will have pic's to post when the GB is posted Tues. or Wed. I didn't post the price, I wasn't sure if I would be within the rules of GB's. I have installed a few Bank's aftermarket exhaust kits for the 1st gen and I will tell you these are nothing like those. These are aluminized, turbo to tail, and have a straight through type muffler. Jeremy.

Ok, it's finally posted! Check it out in the classifieds under product promotions / group purchases. I felt bad it took an extra day so I dropped the price more! Give me a call! Jeremy.

Jeremy

I have a question on the hangers and muffler.

What type of hangers are they? Universal or the round rod type that is orginal for our trucks.

How heavey is the muffler?

The reason I am asking is I had issues with universal hangers and a stock muffler. It would break every hanger on the truck in about 3 months. With no muffler I break about 1 a year now.

Is this kit for 4X4's also.

The muffler is a straight through design with louvers and packing. The kit will come with factory style hangers and will have a universal hanger for the rear on trucks that have broken the rear mount.

Don't give up hope just yet. They are bringing in a 2wd 1st gen. to the shop to take measurements. They are trying to see how far forward the 4 inch can go. This is only going to work on 2wd trucks. Should know something Fri. or Mon. I will keep you posted. Jeremy.

Awfully hard to get 4 inch to clear the transfer case on a 1st Gen 4x4. I don't know of anyone who makes it. This kit is 3. 5 inch until the crossmember and then goes to 4 inch. Also, I forgot to mention this kit does come with Warranty against defect as well as rust out to the original owner. Jeremy.

I have a Big Exhaust .com extension pipe that goes neatly around the transfer case. It adapts to the stock downpipe and is a full 4" past the transfer case. As long as you center the pipe in the frame between the channel and the diagonal crosmember brace, there is no contact.

Yep the link I posted was for 4" from bellhousing- or before the t-case, back. You could get 5" past it if you really wanted to fab and take the time. Looks like a no go for this GB, sorry. Bigexhaust.com is still king for a 4" kit.

Here is bigexhaust.com's $345-$365 kits: http://shop.ivalueinternet.com/bige...uct_id/2426.htm. Tough to beat that price for what you get. Order it less muffler, less downpipe, however you want it.

Pics of the 4" t-case piece. I ran 4" flex back to the 4" kit, starts right before the t-case. It actually has a 'molded' 4" down to 3" reducer right there to hook up to the factory downpipe or kit's dp. I cut it off and connected the flex.

I have pretty much the same exhaust too. Only mine has no flexpipe. Full 4in turbo back. If you need pictures I can post em, just let me know. I got my exhaust from bigexhaust and am completely happy with it.

Hi Jeremy,

The only thing holding me back from ordering your kit is the 3. 5" downpipe to the transmission. The deal you're offering is pretty sweat, but I'm worried 3. 5" won't be big enough for me in the future and I want to hold out for a full 4" from turbo back. If you can modify this system to include the full 4" for a similar price, I'll order it today!

What brand is the kit from Big Exhaust? Jeremy.

Bigexhaust.com > Diesel exhaust kits > Dodge Diesel > Shop Performance exhaust brand > 90-93 4" kits. Which will work for any wheelbase truck or year 81-93 crew cab long bed or regular cab shortbed (just have to cut one piece after the muffler or t-case piece to length).

Yeah, the only true 4" turbo back system I've seen is from Stan's. At around $500 it's pretty reasonable for what you get. Supposedly it fits the stock hangers perfectly.

I just don't see the point in going to 4" after the 3" downpipe. A 3. 5" downpipe is nice, but not sure it will be big enough for me in the future. Last thing I want to do is change the exhaust a second time. :{
