wow!! just installed mine and it rocks! i had a few problems they delayed me, but i fixed em'. now im getting 28-30 psi boost and 1250 egt, where as with the stock system i was getting 20-22 psi and 1550 egt's. well worth the price.

I have the 4" turbo back kit on my 4x4 from Rip Rook and works well. I'll try to post a picture of the downpipe in the near future.

Looking at the crossmember brace I think it could be modified to squeeze 5" pass it.

Anybody try this already?

Any new feedback on this setup? What about muffler verses none? Hows it working for those that took the plunge?

I'll tell you in a couple weeks when I get it and get it installed. Right now, they're running behind on delivery due to some vendor.

I'm still loving mine, i couldn't tell you about what the boost and egt numbers were before since it didn't have guages, and I was just putting the truck together but my numbers now are right in line with OKish

SO with that Yes I'm happy :D

Exhaust noise question. I know this is a really subjective question, but how does a 4" system sound compared to the stock 3"? I would like the performance, but don't want too much more noise. Is this going to be like going from stock to duals with glasspacks on an old BB Dodge? Fun, but the whole block knows when you leave and come home.

It's not as loud as my road runner was with a 318 2' duals and turbo mufflers LOL I was afraid it was going to be too loud, but I'm happy with it.

go with a straight pipe 4 inch, its soooooo worth it. when you moosh down the go pedal your stress just flies away =)

Anyone wanna hear my thoughts on my exhaust setup? :D:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf ;)

I think we all know...

Basically, everything on our trucks is "tiny", "little", or "restrictive" and everything on your truck is huge, powerful, and free-flowing. :-laf

On the advise of folks here I got Rip's 4 inch kit w/muffler and 3 inch downpipe. I too wanted it to sound good, but not too loud, and this combo worked for me. I've had it on for about a year and so far so good.

It's not loud unless you're standing in front of the exhaust outlet. I like to leave my passenger side windows down while driving past buildings and other vehicles ;-)

I had to have something that was reasonably close to stock, they're getting really picky about what they'll pass for state inspection... . gotta have a muffler, AND, get this... NO suspension mods to ANY vehicle that has factory ABS brakes. I know one guy who got his inspection license revoked because the investigator showed up and noticed that he had put a sticker on his own truck that had a minor suspension mod.

Yup, they're really protecting us. .

If you want to screw it up, involve government. I unhook my RWAL, but that is for another thread.

Moab4x4- the noise from my 4" system on my 91 wasnt as loud as the 4" half straight pipe (1/2 S. P. being an old muffler tha twas for looks only). the 4" system gives a lot deeper, big-riggish sound. You can really hear the turbo spool, and the EGTs drop. All good things, IMO.

Anybody else tried this on their automatic? Mine wasn't a very smooth fit. Took a little "alterating". Wouldn't clear between the bellhousing and frame.

They're working with me on this and trying to create a modified downpipe for me. :) They've been very responsive and helpful so far - just wondering if I'm the only auto that's having trouble and if so, what the deal is. Otherwise, the system seems real nice.

My downpipe fit like crap and my truck is a 4x4 5 sp. Didn't fit between the frame and right where the block meets the bellhousing. They also said they'd work w/ me. I had to clearance the DP w/ a hammer.

These are still available. Because of a few issues with the 1st. Gen 4X4 Auto's, we are not offering them. All others, including 1st Gen 4X4 5 speeds, are still available at the Group Buy price. If anyone else has had any issues with the 1st Gen kit, please call and let us know. This was the first run of the 1st Gen. Dodge and we would like to make sure we get everything corrected. Once we have several Auto 4x4's installed without issues, they will be available. Thanks, Jeremy. (936) 348-8968

If you are into making the "Custom" 1st gen stuff you might try a single and dual stack kit.

4" of course.

Just a thought.

Jeremy, I did not get my exhaust kit installed as yet. Was going to tackle it myself. Lots of interruptions. If I have trouble with the fit-up, who should I call? Cant afford to be down for a week. GregH.
