Leaving in a couple of weeks for a drive to Alaska. Of course we'll be going through B. C. and the Yukon, and I was hoping someone could forward the current average of a litre of diesel?

Thanks,

western canada diesel prices

The average diesel price in southwestern BC is 65 cents per litre.

I hope this gives you something to work with... enjoy your trip!:)

$0. 649CDN per litre in the Okanagan valley a few days ago. With the present rate of exchange, that's about $0. 42US per gallon. :D:D:D:D:D. Nah, just kidding!!!

Diesel Prices

Fuel price here in Toronto about 65. 9/liter. One US gallon = 3. 9 liters, 1US dollar = 1. 56 CDN dollars.

Hope this helps,

Neil

You can shop around a bit but I oped for name brands and was a little concerned with the ones I was not familiar with. 65 cents a liter in Cache Creek and as you go further up it will go to 78 in Haines Junction. This was the first of May. Just above Anchorage it was $1. 65. I put in $125 worth in Whitehorse but you feel better when you make the exchange conversion. A number of places was the equivelent of $2.

Diesel price in Calgary, Alberta

Well, FWIW, the diesel in Calgary is 60. 9 cents per litre at my favourite fillup station. Depends where you fill up..... 65 cents a litre at some places in town.

Gas here is right now 76. 9 cents, diesel 60. 9 cents.

Makes a big difference! :D

I saw the post that Otis left re: . 65 cents a litre. :p Otis, were you buying your fuel??? I've been paying 67. 9 a litre at the Pitt River Esso.

If you're coming up Hwy 5, the best spot in the lower mainland (ie close to Vancouver) is right across the border at the Truck Crossing: Campell River Road and Pacific Coast Hwy. It's consistantly been at 64. 9 / ltr.

Bush, I was giving an average from Vancouver to Chilliwack.

I actually fuel up at the Chevron cardlocks where I have recently been paying . 56 to . 59 cents a litre. It might be worth your while looking into depending on your daily mileage.

Not sure what it is at the pumps in Drumheller right now-my cardlock bill for last month showed right around the 60 cent mark without GST-so that would bring it to roughly 64. 5. I suspect the pumps are a couple cents above this. One of the benefits of dealing in a tourist town-at least I'm not buying gasoline. It's at 78. 9 cents a litre down there now!

68. 9 here at mile 49 of the Alaska Highway. That is in Fort St John. Mile 0 Dawson Creek might be a little cheaper, it usually is. Once you get to Fort Nelson, the prices increase dramatically and it doesn't get any cheaper the further up you go until you get into Alaska!
