that is rumored to be going on? ? I heard this may be a scam. Is there any validity to this rumor? Something like this guy is the Jessie James of diesel- ??

There's too many dishonest people out there and I don't want to see any of our vendors getting burned on scams. Which is exactly what this is.

"Jessie James" of diesel? That would be Piers. Anyone else... in my opinion falls in after him. He's been a pioneer for this industry for years. (Sure he's not making 1500hp like haisleys or scheids, but without him hitting 500hp first no one would)

Had a thought while talking to one of my vendor buddies on this subject, If any vendors have parts being sent to this scam artist, call your shipper- U. P. S. and Fed Ex both have undercover officers that specialize in arresting perps in scams involving stolen credit card orders and scams. UPS calls their security- L/P- or Loss and Prevention. Contact your shipper and let them handle this task.

This perp needs to be nailed. And what better chance to be caught RED HANDED.
 
Josh... ..... you're just a little off there. Jeff was drag racing, with HP before most folks realized we in the South was still part of the US. Not because we want to be , it's just the way the war ended. Piers has just been promoted, and Jeff just went about his buisness as a diesel mechanic. I'd say, they are about equal. Jeff's been on the track for about 8 years, maybe 10. As a matter of fact, Jeff was buying from BD when Piers and Bill both were still there. Point: How many runs has Piers made? Not to be controversial, but that's the difference in being on the NET, promoting yourself and just turning wrenches, making HP for a living. Nothing again't Piers, at all, I have great respect for he and Louise, it's just that Jeff's been "king" in the south since this HP thing started. Didn't know that , did ya.

Dang! This perp has been getting around! I've gotten many PM's from some pretty heavy hitters, all have been contacted on this subject!!

Vendors please spread the word to the other vendors that you may know. Word needs to be spread out there- These threads I've posted have been a huge help- I hope- I just HATE hearing that some fool gets an idea to scam vendors and the burned vendors then turn away when legitimate guys- like myself- are building REAL RACE TRUCKS, and are trying to get sponsors on board- but the sponsors have a bad feeling since being burned... ...

It makes my work and others who are legitimate, that much harder!!


I hope this perp gets nailed HARD!

I won't argue that Jeff has been doing this a long time. I won't argue that Jeff knows his stuff. Who did what first though? First to 500hp? Piers. From what I understand the first set of twins came out of Piers. He may not have perfected them, but here they are.



Piers on a Drag Strip? Donno if he has at all. Don't care. Your talking about 2 different subjects with that one. That's like saying Comp is the king of Diesel because of the time he has spent on the track.



Innovations that have been brought to the Diesel Performance Industry, I have to give the nod to Piers.



Like I said, I'm not bringing Jeff down. He's an incredible resource, and knows these things from top to bottom. I just don't think that he fits the bill said above.



Now I do want to say... . that this is all my opinion, I don't have a date or who really made the first twins. I was told (prove me wrong, I'm a knowlege hound!) that Piers built the first set. I don't know if he was at PDR or BD at the time, but the inception he was there.

Are we talking about Cummins B-series performance or just diesel performance in general?



There were more than a few folks not mentioned in this thread turning wrenches on hi-perf diesels back before Chrysler ever put a B-series in a pickup.

Here is the guy claiming to be the producer, and his number, *** *** ****. This Guy called Ray Little at RacMac and was promising the world, said he was getting ready to shoot a Discovery Channel deal. He explained that this Show was to replace the Jessie James show , and it was because, the subject of this series Blake Mastoin had out run the owners of the discover channels kids turbo supra , on a back road in Minnesota. for everyone information the discovery channel is a multi national publicly owned conglomerate. He also told him and had a 8000 lbs truck that ran 10’s.



Then Blake Mastoin *** *** **** called and wanted Ray and myself in on the show told Ray, that Cummins was giving him a aluminum block, one of three made. Blake wanted a Cam and head from Ray.

Scott Benz say the only one left, and couldn’t get it, but did say it would not hold 200 hp anyway.



I was leery of the deal, most of the time in a real deal, a production assistant will call, and then send a prospective, and the talent or the subject is never involved.

Brady at Industrial Injection brought me up to speed on this person and his escapades.

Blake called Mike woods at NX and its lucky we talked about this, and Mike had the ability to recall a UPS shipment, or he would have been out , he was told that they were shooting the last 20 mins of the show and need an expensive system delivered overnight.



If its to good to be true , it usually is

Not tough enough!! The info that is pouring in is just unbelievable! He's ripped off quite alot of people, shops, vendors ect. If his name comes up people perk up and start with the reports of his other crafty scams- Please guys spread the word, this guy needs to be taken down. :(

That's just a few hours up the road from quite a few of us.

I can and will say, the name does not ring a bell with the MNTDR.



The word is and will be out. Should he show up to a MNTDR meet (doubtful) we will make sure he doesn't go anywhere till the cops show up.

he is in jail now , talked to the people that had him extridited to Colorodo , and he was out , and at it again , but not now
 
Nope I just heard today he is still out there??? From a pretty good source too.....

?? I think he just can't leave the state??


As a matter of fact he has to be out- a vendor was just shipping out product to this creep- they were able to recall the shipment though... . good thing!
