Like the name says, a buddy has one in his truck and can't get any info on what number this is. I told him to pull it and put a no. 10 in and be done but he really wants to know. Any help would be good.

I had the same question a while back. I was told I could pull it out and post a picture of the contour to get an exact identification. And I was also told (by a few people) that is was probably a #11. The best advice I got was to pull it and put in a #10 (because it was so adjustable and user freindly) and be done with it. Good Luck, Robert

I agree, I always recommend and #10, a #4 and #0. Both #4 and #10 are crescent moon shapped. #4 is just deeper. (read more fuel, more power, higher EGT's). #10 and #4 are the best plates. You can always upgrade(swap) with TST for $50 and move up to a different plate when the need arises.

Like TST, I believe Banks provides different plate configurations depending on the truck and transmission as well as which of their upgrades you are buying.

Mine started as a Power Pak for the 94 with auto transmission. When I put in the Twin Ram a different plate was provided.

I told him he would need to pull it out and get some pictures up so you guys can look. I still think the best solution is to yank it and do a #10.

Thanks for the ideas.

I have replaced several of the Banks plates and they all were closest to a #8 TST. Any plate above an #8 is good with the #10 being first choice with a #4 second choice, after that if you want the ultimate and don't mind the smoke get a 0 plate and the watch your EGT's fly.
