I am looking into lowering my 2wd 3500. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am not looking to go extreme. Maybe 2" in the front and 4" in the rear.

What is a good company to go with? What should I be looking for in a kit?

Any input will be appreciated.

In 2000, there was a member in MN that had lowered a 2WD dually. As I recall, he came down to a couple of the Rochester meetings from the MSP area. His truck was red.

The 'Air Ride' Technologies is a good bit cheaper than kelderman.

[I'm not knockin either one. Both are awesome setups. I'd like to have the Air ride on my 2500 4x2 and the kelderman on my 3500 4x4.

The Kelderman kit is not meant to lower the truck, although I guess you could let all the air out of the bags and it would sit lower. The Air Ride Technologies kit is designed to lower the truck.

I lowered my 96 3500 2wd with components from AIM Industries.

I searched and searched and researched this for a couple of months.

I could not afford air ride so I wanted to use replacement components.

BellTech also makes 3 inch drop springs for the diesel application and rear shackle kits. I ended up with Chassis Tech parts out of AZ. If you use a 3 inch drop spring only in the front, alignment can be very challenging. So your best bet would bet to also use the tubular upper A-arms for proper alignment. I'm not completely satisfied with chassis tech's components but if you want control arms, this is the possibly only place to get them. I ordered rear 4 inch shackle kit, upper offset arms, front springs, and 3 inch drop lower arms. Never used lowers, still brand new in attic. I ended up using 2500 2wd V-10 front springs in the front from moog, spicer whoever. That dropped the front 2-3 inches and with the rear kit the truck now sits level, no more rake. Am using stock wheels tires but may upgrade to Alcoa Hot Shots soon. If you would like more info, let me know. I can give Alot more detail about what I found from using these parts.
