I believe they are Autometer pods but don't quote me on it. Both Geno's Garage and PDR, probably others also, can set you with the required pods. :)

AutoMeter is one MFG the other is ProPods. The AutoMeter brand has a better angle to the gage. The ProPod stands the gage almost straight up. If your a shorter person this will make it had to read the gages.

I ordered the double Autometer pillar mount from Genos. This is the 1st pillar mount I've ever bought and I was kinda expecting (or hoping for) a full length unit to replace the stock plastic pillar cover with existing screw holes. However this little guy is short & looks like it glues to the existing pillar cover. It did not come with mounting instructions, so I'm not too sure.

The existing plastic is pretty brittle, so I'm not too fond of gluing to it. I expect that it will break or at least look pretty goofy. Maybe not though. Has anyone used this type or brand before? Did it work/look ok?

Anyone have a suggestion for good glue? I dont know that your k-mart variety super glue will hold.

Is there another brand that is full length?

Thanks for the help!

I drilled some holes in my pod at the stock locations. I dont remember how I did it, been too long. It may have come that way.

Here's a pic of mine. Mine came with little plastic plugs, you just drill 2 holes in your A pillar and and push in the plugs with the pod, done. FWIW I was talking to my speed shop guys when I bought mine and figured out that the 1gen and 2gen, 2 pod mounts had different part #'s but were the same.

Thats good to know as the 2nd gen has the triple pod available. . I heard the steering wheel pod for the 2nd gen fits a 1st gen too and info. . I have em in my dads truck but its already mounted. . I normally drill the plastic pillar trim and the pod and use small black head aluminum rivits. It looks kinda air craft looking, but its strong. I then gring out the back of the plastic stock trim so the wiring will pass through it. .

Thanks

Deo there are two columns used on our trucks. If you have the deluxe model column the 94 pod will fit. If it is the standard model column it will not.

Look at a column in a LE truck. It will be the deluxe model. If your not sure of which column you have.

well my le was a '89 but it didn't have a tilt wheel. . my 92 is a basic model ... mumn if i can find a tilt coulmn then the 2nd gen column pod will fit huh

thanks
