I am in need of a new one myself. The flange on the driver side where the outer tank meets the main section has a three to four inch hairline crack in it. I'm tired of adding coolant and bars leaks to it.

Has anyone got any experience with autocool.com? They have replacement radiators for the Dodge, and have a lifetime warranty. The shipping is free and the cost is $240. 00.

I would feel better if someone has used these people before I ordered one.

I found another link that has Modine for the 96 Dodge Cummins, $218. 00, free shipping, and lifetime warranty.

Glorad.com

Also see if you have a Performance Radiator distributor in your area. My buddy is a mechanic and this is who he uses. good quality, fair price.

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and ordered the Modine from Global Radiator, $218. 00 including shipping. The web-page can be found at glorad.com. The company appears to be located in Lake Mary, FL, I think that is west of Orlando, For you Central Florida folks.

I'll check back and let yall know when I get it, how everything went.

Thanks

Don

Well I put the radiator in today. The Modine radiator I got from Global Radiator fit perfectly, its pretty much identical to the OEM unit. Although I was a little bit pi$$ed that the thing was made in China.

I tried unsuccessfully to get the fan off. Just in case I did need to get it off in the future. Hit the shroud and broke out a chunk  well I guess I'll be looking for some really good suggestions for pvc type glue. I really hate to replace the whole damned shroud because of that little piece about 2 1/2 inches long. Oh well such things can happen.

Thanks

Are you aware that the fan nut is a left hand thread?

I use polyurethane glue to repair most plastics and almost anything else. It is a bit expensive but is a good adhesive.

I think Gorilla Glue is the same thing.

Thanks Howard:

Yea, I believe the nut tightens in the same direction that the fan turns. Which would be clockwise when facing the fan, as viewed from the bumper. I attempted to hit it with a drift and a 20oz hammer in such a way as to turn the nut counterclockwise, as viewed from the bumper.

I found some permapoxi at Walmart tonight. Its made by Permatex, so maybe its good stuff.

Well in all fairness I have to edit this post. I now realize I was hitting the dam*ed nut the wrong way. I did some searching and found other folks succefully removing the fan by hitting it on the right side as viewed from the radiator. For boaters that is the port side of the nut. I feel like I could skydive off of an ant right now. I would have bet money that the manual instruted me to remove it in a counterclockwise direction. Oh well I know now.

Thanks for the reply
