I have searched and could find no reference to a Cummins installation in a Chevy Blazer, although several referred to Suburban swaps. The installation should be very similar, except in length of drive shaft, etc. I just may come into possession of a military Blazer with the 6. 5 diesel engine and have a 12 valver to work with. Any thoughts?

If they're anything like the trux, might not be. The military versions of the trux are something like 1. 25 or 1. 5 ton. Definitely built tuff!

TurboSandman, did you try the coloradok5.com website? Seem to remember a diesel conversion or 2 mentioned there.

Good luck.

OnlyCummins;

Thanks for the Colorado K-5 site; you are fight about the axles as one of the popular conversions is a Dana 60 front axle. Since my truck burned, I just happen to have a spare Dana 60 and Dana 80 (not to mention an NV4500) that could be put to use. I do not yet have the M1009 so I cannot measure for the feasibility of the swap, but it seems possible as others have done it with Suburbans.

Anyway, it is just beer talk at this point, but I will keep watching to see if anyone has tried it.

Steve
