Anyone recently been to Oklahoma City from the northern route?

I am travelling to Oklahoma City this weekend from Iowa. I will be going through Omaha/US75/Topeka/I33/I35/Wichita/I35 routes. Just wondered if there is any construction/destruction or pitfalls. The weather is looking good up here, and hopefully it is better down there. I got to deliver some motors and come back with an old cadillac.

Its fine from Wichita to OK City, and should be alright from KC to Wichita, but can't tell ya any more than that. Wait till ya get to OK City to buy fuel, it was $1. 28. 9 there Sat. eve.

Thanks for the info. I hope fuel in much cheaper on the interstate. Up here the cost of in-town diesel has been running about $1. 51



I wish I could make it all the way to OKC without filling up. That would be about 600 miles, and the best I have run loaded is 583 miles on a full tank.

Fuel prices are pretty good when you cross into OK out of KS.



I drove all the way from just South of OK/KS state line out to Holcomb, KS and back without refueling just to get back to the cheaper OK fuel.
