2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Anyone replaced overloads with Airsping

Has anyone tried removing their overloads and replaced them with air bags to try to improve the loaded ride? What were your results?

I just acquired a set of Firestone Air Springs. I have no idea what truck they came off of, the guy that gave them to me said he decided he did not need them.



I thought they went on top of the whole assembly, overloads and all. I have not put them on yet, but will post as soon as I do.

I've got the AirLift airbags. These things are great. A bunch of guys over is the "Towing, Hauling and RV Forum" have them on as well. You may want to post over there for more info.



I put the HD 4000 pounders on, so my little 3/4 SRW can haul as much as a HD 1 ton (and yes I know you should only load and pull what the truck is rated to but its sure nice to know I could overload her if I wanted to. )
