The cooper 315/17's seem to be a pretty good deal$$. and have the same general tread pattern as the BFG bajas(which are $450+ a piece). Was wonderin' if any of you guys have'em and if you get any wallowing while cornering? The description doesn't say anything about the sidewall construction and I don't want to make the P. O. S. nitto tire mistake again. Any comments appreciated in advance-

Cheap construction, I could break the sidewall cords with my fingers, I don't know how they had the load rating that they did. I did have a set on a lighter truck and they seemed fine on it but the ones I had on my 3/4 ton road terrible, going around turns it felt like they were gonna roll out from underneath the truck. They were the17's though, maybe ones with less sidewall would do better on the street

im going to look at the Nittos once i get back to O'side. should be next week. 1174 out the door, should be able to get them for a grand even, but we will see. thats for 5 as well.

i need some 295's am having a hard time finding them in E rates that are in stock... .

I just sold my 99 with brand new ATR's 315/75/16 and they where my second set. I loved my first set of AT's so much that no other would compare in my book. I had 5200lbs in the back going through a scale and the truck road great with no troubles at all. My new ones were quieter then the AT's and they were quiet to start with. I put a good 60k on the old ones and they were on the truck when I bought it so I dont know how many miles were on them when I got them. IMHO good tire good price good wearing. They dont have the load required according to the door but I have over loaded my truck with no worries. Two weeks prior to selling my truck I went to boston and put 3600lbs in the bed and drove home 170mi on the highway doing 70mph. Not a single issue.

I have the ATR's and love them. Great traction in the snow and ice no problems so far. I like Cooper tires, they are reasonably priced and wear great! I am getting a set of the 285's STT for the Ford.
