Anyone running BFG MT's?

I'm looking for a well priced, easy to find 33" tire that will last more than 20k miles that is off road worthy. . I was curious what others who have these think of them. . Sorry for "another tire thread".

This SORT-OF applies. My buddy ran goodyear MT/R's 315/70/16 for 50k (3k religious rotation, weekly air pressure checks). Bought a second set, had two out of round. Had two more put on and at least one of them was out of round. He is currently running a Mastercraft Courser Mud Terrain in the same size. Good looking tire, but treadwar is unknown.

I haven't heard just "GREAT" things about any large MT tire... sadly...

I have the 35/12. 5R17's on mine right now, they have been on the truck for about 25k. mi. and probably will make it another 10K. I think I have one that is out of round, but it only vibrates @ 40 mph on the rear. if it is on the front, it doesn't seem to be as bad if at all. They are working fine for me but I am not going to get another set, I am going to get a set of Toyo open trail M/T's next. the BFG's are load range D 3000 lbs @ 50 psi, and the Toyo's are E range with a 3415 lb weight rating I believe.

Im running the 35 X 12. 50 X 18 BFG M/T on my 2004 now. I have approx 40K on them with about 10K left, and I love them. You have to rotate them regularly though, and as they wear, they do get a bit rough (and noisy). I will probably order another set in the next couple of months or so. They dig pretty good in the mud too.

I have the BFG M/Ts on the Ford, in 255-85-16. They are nice tires. Great off-road, and are pretty quiet on the road. They have good highway manners as well. The tires wear well. Could probably get 60-70k miles out of them.



Got mine from Sears several years ago, when they were on sale.

I've got 6 BFG MT's in 285 if anyone is interested. They came on dad's '03 and look like new. He wanted 10plys.

If you are looking for MTs, try the Goodyear MT/Rs in 285/70R17. They have a "D" load rating, but the sidewall weight at pressure label is the same as the "E" rated 265 BFGs that come with the "off road" package. Better yet, the Goodyear tires are not made by a French company.
