Anyone running homebrew on a 3rd gen?

Wondering about the homebrew option on the newer trucks. Is it feasible?

Cummins has been testing the engine on B20 for a while (at least according to the Cummins guy that attended the National Biodiesel Convention).

I personally wouldn't recommend going over B20 because the viscosity increases too much at higher blends. I'd avoid B100 in 24Vs for the same reason. Those pumps have enough problems as it is.

I've run b30-40 in my 3rd gen with no issues. I typically run about b10-15. This was commercially produced ASTM spec bio though - not homebrew.

I found a link from the U of MO. and a lot of there testing was on CTDs,[ one of these days I will figure out how to paste addresses in. ] the only problum to speak of, was a high % of veg. oil would start to disolve the rubber hoses and seals and they solve that problum by replacing with viton hoses and seals, a big + was veg. oil lubed the fuel system better than diesel also the veg. oil would clean out the fuel system, need so replsce filters frequintly at the begining of switch.

I know of an 02 that has been running homebrew for about the last 6-8 months. He doesn't seem to have any problems.
