Had the hitch Kelderman on my 02 and thought I would not need it on 3rd gen but thinking it would solve my leveling problem with camper and some porpoising the camper does. Anybody running it on 3gen? Especially with load? George

Thanks Larry. I noted the Air Lift Company swing arm air bag was behind the axle and the Kelderman 4 link was basically under the axle. Understanding the difference between the engineering of 4 link (up and down) and swing arm (moves on a curve) I can't imagine it makes much difference. Was your ride much different? Great testimony on longevity there. The reason I was considering the hitch-type again was the springs actually become the swing arm and the bag is behind the axle. Cheaper and quicker install too. Could also just use a Schrader to run it until I get a good air system. Like that air ride seat? Thanks Larry, George

The air ride seat is very nice. I had just the air ride at first, but I haul such different loads, one time a 30 or 32', the next a 40', and it doesn't level as well cause you still have the sag of the springs, where the 4 Link system does away with the springs. I set my height, and no matter what I hook up to it stays the same height. and it rides great specially when loaded. The air ride 5th wheel hitch helps also.

With reguard to that, you're right that it makes little diffrence. The four link will increase your range of travel within the capability of the airbag but in many situations people have switched to airbags to maintain a height, not vary it.

Nice to know the 4 link and your seat are good choices Larry. I will call Kelderman tomorrow and talk to Jeff (Lord willing) about the choices. I was quite happy with the hitch air ride for my second gen. Anybody using the hitch type on their third? George
