I've been running the 305/70/16s for a couple thousand miles - I like them so far.
The good news - Softened the ride, not too much tire noise, way more grip than the skinny stockers, no more side wall roll over during corning than the stockers and fear not sand washes and gullys in Baja now...
The bad news - Mileage dropped 1. 5 mpg due to more rolling resistance (yes that's taking the larger diameter into the equation) I WAS getting 16. 7 mpg in around town driving :{ I think this may be why the mfg's put the skinny tires on from the factory?
I had them balanced on a Hunter GSP9700 which is the way to go if you can find a shop that has one.
I had the front end aligned right away because the front driver side outer edge was wearing faster than than the other three on the stockers, even though the truck tracked straight. I'm lucky to have a alignment guru in town - More Service, Santa Cruz CA
