i cant stand the big rim sizes these days, i think it looks gay. i waited for months for the 37's on a 17" wheel, i like the look of more rubber. i use my truck off road alot and expect it to perform, i didnt buy it to pound the pavement and look like a pimp. whats next?? 44" tires w/ 22" spinners???

Well, if you notice the ratio of wheel to tire diameter, a stock truck has about 1:2-- 31" tires on 16" wheels.

Thus, a 20" wheel for 40" tires is pretty proportional.

What REALLY looks gay to me is monster tires on weenie little wheels-- like 44" boggers on a 15" wheel! Not to mention how weak such a small wheel is when shod with such huge rubber.....

When going from stock michlens to toyo or anything with a little mor agreesive tread, does your mpg go down, also do the toyos handle better on summer wet hwgs at about 75 to 80mph on lond trips while riding empty?

Tks. Guys

I have the new open country AT 325x70x17 on my 04 2500 with a BDS set of pucks in the front on Hallo rims Works nice and only have a little rubbing.

I have NOT noticed a deterioration in wet traction with the toyos/nittos as compared to the stock tires. My mpg appears to have gone down a bit, but I haven't calibrated by odometer/speedo since upgrading.

wet traction seems as good as bfg's, only have a week on new set up. as far as mileage goes i've run two tanks through it and i went from always getting 17's to 14 on first tank and 13. 8 on second but i will play with it some more this week with some mods. i really wish i could get some 4. 56 gears. would some second gen axels fit a third gen truck?? if so i'd have some aftermarket gear options.
