Part # for the oil filler breather is 3944797. That is just the breather w/out the tube. I used 5ft of heater tube and routed it down to where the other breather is. Better I think than the one that is supposed to be used with it.

quick question i was wondering after installing these do i do anything with the crank case vent tube or just leave it alone? by the way great post and thanks for the pn 's case got them in for me in 3 days. and the price way cheaper than cummings and they are still back ordered

I ordered 3 sets from case. ( first gen), they took 1 week and they were not cheap:mad: I think 68 bucks just for the metal part plus the plastic breathers and other misc. . ended up being a couple hundred :eek:ouch ... oh well . . I hope that they awesome look decent.

deo i used to get puke out of my dipstick tube, since i put these on it has alleviated that problem i also notice less out of the reg. puke tube also.

For those of you who don't need quite as much breathing Fleetguard make a closed crankcase breather for the 24valves. It will work on the 12valves as well in you change one of the valve covers to the style with an oil fill in it. Or they also have a universal version for all 12valves. The first link is on a 24v the second the universal. The problem with the universal is of course where do you mount the bracket?

My stupid computer won't open the file above with the case part #'s. Can somebody post those and does anyone know if something like this is offered for a commonrail? Thanks

Kinda' on topic... anyone know where to get the chrome valve covers for a 12v?

Yep...

There is a set in my basement collecting dust...

polished aluminum > chrome

buy a set of factory covers off of ebay for $40 and have them polished

There are two sets of polished covers in my shop now as I just finished them and the air horns.

2 complete kits black powder coated also.

Mark. .

What are you looking for for sets?. Drop me a PM as I may be able to help you out.

Forrest...

Let me know when your ready after the holidays as I have gotten the next shipments of covers in and have 12 sets at my disposal... ... Andy

Drop me a note and I will do what I can to help... Andy

I installed the Cummins valvelcover/breathers last weekend. All I can say is money well spent. I have done a bunch of high boost runs on the highway and when I get home and park the truck I have ZERO oil leaks in the morning.

My brand new driveway is also happy too.
