do a search on the 53 block or cracked block. you will get all the reading you will ever want. Including where to look to see if you do have the 53 block.

Mine is a 98 built 9/97 it has a 53 block, no cracks yet, knock on wood but I,m not sweating it

No big deal, if I blow it sky high... I get to build it stronger next time.

I got a 96 longbed clubcab auto green/silver with 89k I want to sell in about 7 weeks... . got a new 04. 5 on the way ... ... but i live in AK... ... . probably not what your looking for but its in great shape!

Hey damn sounds like a nice truck. How much are you looking to get for it? Looking more for a white truck and it must be a 5spd... I hate this search for a truck it def sucks feels like i will never find one :{

I have a 1997 White over driftwood 2500 4X4 clubcab with 60. 5K miles and 5 speed transmission (20 MPG average). This truck has leather interior and power seat, camper and trailer tow packages and shell on 8ft bed. Has dowel pin tab and was a daily driver... only pulled single snowmobile trailer about 800 miles or so. Also have extra set of stock wheels/hubcaps and tires.
