Anyone Straight Piped An '03?

Just wondering if anyone has straight piped or heard a straight piped 03? Anything to get that awesome Cummins sound back instead of soundling like an old 6 cyl Cheby w/no oil

I'd like to do something with the exhaust. Probably not straight pipe, but maybe find a glass pack or something straight-through with some baffles to take the edge off. Would be afraid to get it too loud and have it rumble at road speed. Might make for some long road trips.

That's what I'm contemplating too. Maybe some type of a glass pack. I had a straight pipe on my 1996, and it was just a little too loud. My wife drives the 2003 to work. Because she leaves the house at around 5 a. m. , I'm afraid a straight pipe may disturb the neighbors. I really do miss hearing the mighty roar of the old Cummins though!!

Here's what I did to mine and it only cost 47 bucks plus shipping from Gino's. I think that the 5" tip looks pretty nice on my duallie.

Saw an 03 with DD2's and a 4" with straight through muffler. Could hardly notice the difference at idle but had a nice bark when he thromped on it. Thats the route I believe I am going to take.

I know Geno's is working on a muffler elimination kit for the '03's.

I heard one run on a dyno that was straight piped, Jeez it was awful. Almost sounded like a big ricer!

Was that the silver one? Didnt realize anyone was straight piped there in an 03, I would have liked to check it out.
