Thanks for the info Hohn and TPC.

Im still undecided what to do also. I, too, like the idea of ignoring holset entirely, but I cant really ignore the price of a 35/40 vs a SPS66(what I really want. . ).

But, I guess ya get what ya pay for also :rolleyes:

I run the 60 wheel w/12cm housing from HTT. I don't have a pressure gauge to read the exhaust side but I am pleased with the turbo. I have pulled my 12k+ 5'er and do not have a EGT issue so the turbo is breathing but I do not have the injectors you are running. Spool up is not an issue.

I haven't done much pulling with it yet. The one time I did pull it was only 6000 lbs or so. The hill I normally had to slow to 65 due to temps, I was going 75 :cool: . East bound from Laramie to the summit for those that know the area. It will bark, but if I let off slowly before shifting, I can control it. No surging, no woofing. I may have to try the tag and I'm also considering the 14 housing.

Tim, don't you think they should make that hill some kind of "proving ground" site??

Lots of big rigs just CRAWLING up the hill. The combination of incline and altitude is a killer.

If a turbo can handle towing heavy weight up THIS ^^, then it can handle just about anything you can think of.

I'm getting spoiled by the sea level driving. Instant spool, no smoke, low EGTs. Somehow, I still hate humidity, though:{
