It looks like the DD boxes are made by Edge, Is there a power difference + or -?

Anyone have experience?

Any info is appreciated!!

Thanks.

I have both an Edge EZ, and a DD UFM (both 5 stage boxes). They both act exactly the same. The DD just has the DD logo on it. The edge was less $$$ than the DD for me, so I would pick up the one that costs you less money.

Yes they are made by Edge, no they are not exactly the same.

The DD vesrion has a slightly different program and not so aggressive timing as the Edge version. On both the EZ and the COMP/UFM.

My Edge version dynoed 512. 5hp and the DD version dynod 504. 7hp BUT bare in mind these runs were 24 hours apart.

On just diesel I will use the Edge COMP version, when I add nitrous I'll use a DD Ultimate Fueling Module to go along with my nitrous.

I chose the DD TT box because of less aggressive timing, hence a bit quieter running. The Box does not make as much HP, but I felt it would be better for the life of the truck. I used to run it with a set of Bullydog Stage 2 injectors, but had too much smoke. Now that I am running 275RV's, I chose the most agressive setting on the DD box & have minimal smoke. With my DTT TC & VB this is a very nice set up. When I can afford a Piers Turbo & a 4", I will go back to the Stage 2 injectors, The stock HY-35 on my truck just does not cut it EGT wise for anything more than the 275's. I would buy DD again.

I have a True Torque Power Module by DD which is essentially an EZ with different programming. I believe I saw where an EZ puts out 65 hp max and the TTPM puts out 80 hp. I could be wrong but am sure I saw that somewhere. Anyway, I sure like mine but on either fueling setting, it smokes a lot at low boost.

DD TTM

I've run a DD TTM since they came out. I got it for my ETH because it has a little less timming than the EZ, with my engine being an HO, I didn't want too much advance. Enjoy it tremendously, looking forward to injectors and a bigger huffer next.
