When I worked for a roofing company in California we used the stuff alot. Sticky as all get out, it was a pain if you got it on ya. But I use a 1-2 quarts when I change my oil. I noticed the pressure is higher when running and stays higer at idle. I don't drop below 40 psi at idle, which makes me feel comfortable in letting the turbo cool. But I was wondering if any of you wiser old timers (no Offense) had any idea about the stuff and if it worked well. It seems to work good for me, never done an oil analysis but its alway smells good and feels good. (nothing sexual in that;) Look forward to your input.

Yes I have used Lucas as make up oil. Oil analysis showed it made a difference in viscosity after 5-7k miles with Rosmella T.

I have also used the fuel conditioner as a pump lube.

I use the Lucas fuel injector cleaner and pump lube and prefer it to all others. Higher fuel mileage is one consistent result. For those wishing to avoid the high prices charged at truck stops for Lucas products, you can order on line at www.gimmelucas.com . They have good prices and offer free shipping within the USA.

I've seen the Lucas oil displays at a few auto supply places, but have yet to see a customer bring some up to the checkout counter to buy. The little gears & hand-crank demo setup looks interesting, though. The Lucas oil does run up the gears and stays on the gears better than whatever it's competing against. I'm just not sure if this supplement is for real or snake-oil, especially when I don't know of anyone who's used it and likes it. And when it comes to Cummins, the same is true for Slik-50, etc. , etc.
