I almost have 30K on my babied Toyo open country AT's but they'll need to be replaced in the spring. I want a more aggressive tire and came accross these Radial Buckshots. In 285/75 they are load range D and ~3300lb rating. I figured that they are loud but they're fairly cheap, $132 through national tire. Anyone have any experience with these, if they make 30K I'd be happy.

I have them on my truck... i can not wait till they wear down... i have a terrible vibration at 40mph and at 60 mph. the tire shop i bought them from can not get them to balance. I had somebody else try to balance them and they said that the one tire is off by 5ozs, but they could not get a weight on it because of a hard spot in the tire... . i talked to the tire shot about returning them and he said warranty would only credit me toward new purchase of the same tire... it looks like i will only have them for another year any way... i think thrity thousand miles be it for them

I run the 305/70r16's. I have to say i've had no problems with them so far. After about 15,000 miles, the tread wear has been minimal. The price is certainly good for them, I bought a set locally for $125 per tire.

I had a set of the 285's on my '01 Z71. I was very impressed with the tire. It pulled great in muddy and loose conditions. I put about 20k on them, mostly highway miles, and had minimal tire wear. I really enjoyed the tires and considered putting them on my truck, but I don't need an aggressive tread. At highway speeds there was not a tremendous amount of road noise, but there was some. That can be expected with an aggressive mud tire. I would definitely buy them again.
