A rock & roll bio-diesel video

Northern Tools catalog has biofuel processors for sale

Planning on making biodiesel and as luck would have it, I walked into my local Popeye's chicken and they said they would be more than happy to give me their used oil. The manager took me out back to show me the collection point and it looks like they go through about 200 ish gallons in 3 weeks.

That being said, I want to make quality, safe biodiesel. I have looked at a bunch and have not read alot of good about the plastic setups, they seem to do ok for a while and if you keep up on them might be good for some but has anyone seen or have experience with these?

They are spendy but I am not looking for a new full time job making biodiesel, they look safe and easy compared to the plastic or homebuilt ones. I have some friends at work that would be willing to buy diesel from me and also a few farmers I know would buy any excess I had. I think between my fuel savings and selling off the excess I could recoup the cost in a reasonable time... especially with the cost of diesel these days ($3. 75 here today).

Thoughts? opinions? thanks alot for the help

PS. if you use a plastic or appleseed setup please dont bust my chops, like I said im sure they work well for those who take care of them, just dont think they are right for me.

I am subscribing here as I am thinking of doing the same thing. I like their setup. We hit $3. 99 9/10's today (with a $. 10 increase since this morning)

Looks easy enough, but $8500 to over $13,000 to start is a big hit. Now if you could round up some buddies to pitch in.
