Ok the truck Im working on right now is my 1st Cummins conversion. Ive done several swaps of all kinds of motors into vehicles that they were never intended to be in though. The problem here is not a new one.
Basically Unless youve got a few under your belt were all amatuers, at least at the specific project at hand.
We all have to rely on the few people that make the parts we need, Unfortunatly some of those people are hacks just looking to make a buck by offering a part you cant get anywhere else.
The problem is without the hacks no one will bother to make stuff the correct way.
On several projects Ive been burned like the way you have been. I have come to the conclusion that getting angry and ranting etc. . does no good. All of my stuff is built on a budget ( small budget= Im usually broke). I usually spend 2x's what I planned on spending and it takes 2x's as long to accomplish.
When you boil it all down You got screwed. Letting everyone else know about it is the best you can do.
Sell the unused stuff on Fleabay like everyone else does and move on.
We all feel for you , and were sorry you got the shaft, but the best advice came on page 1 of the thread. Thats why your thread went sideways.
I dont want this taken the wrong way but I think youve allready been given almost all the advice there is to give in your situation.
Again Im sorry about what happened to you but you might have protected someone else from the same fate.
Good luck on the project.
