I had one on my 04. It just slips over the existing pipe. I think I used a rubber mallet to tap it on. Fits like a dream.

Haven't bought one for the new truck yet. The Megs tip does a great job of extending the pipe just enough to keep the soot off of the bumper. .

Mine was an interference fit. I heated it in the oven, per the instructions, and wore welding gloves to slip it onto the tailpipe. Once cool, it fit so well you couldn't tell it wasn't welded.

I put one on my 06. Didn't need to cut the factory pipe. As above, the Megs added enough extension for the soot to clear the fender. Mine fit alittle loose so I added a dab of weld bond to the top and fit is perfect. To me the megs looks better than the dodge one.

The Megs tip is a good situation. Its much better to be a snug fit than loose, otherwise a bonding agent can be used to secure not losing the tip.

I'm running the Mopar OEM tip, I actually had a Megs first when I had my truck straight piped, when I a new OEM muffler & tailpipe from Dodge I went with the Mopar Tip and like the way it looks better. I don't get any soot on my bumper or bedside with the Mopar tip.
