Anyone using a parrot bluetooth wireless kit?

If so wich one and how do you like it? I am looking for something besides the usual Motorola hands free with cradle. The CK3000 looks nice and simple.

Definitely let us know how well it works when you get it installed - the parrot systems seem better than the dealer installed Uconnect. I have the factory Uconnect, but I would love to be able to ditch the factory head unit if these new bluetooth systems work as well as the factory Uconnect.

The unit is the Easy Drive, talked to my wife on it today (it's in her car) sounded very muffled, hard to understand her, I will make sure it's dialed in properly and let you know.

Any update on this? How is the system working for you? I'll be working on installing the Parrot ck3100 in my CTD this weekend. It looks like there could be a few hiccups with the infinity sound system though.

I've put the Motorola HF850 in my CTD and in the wife's Highlander. I'm going to install one in our spare car (Hyundai Elantra) later this week. They work pretty well, but like most things, they are not perfect. You will have to do some installation work but they come with a pretty good size speaker so they can be heard with the widows down. You can find these on the internet for under $100 (eBay, etc. ) ...

I bought the Motorola IHF 1000 "Premium Speech-Operated Car Kit with Blustooth Wireless Technology".



The only visible part of the unit is a small control panel about the size of one of those old, metal, zippo lighters. Five buttons;volume up, volume down, answer call, end call and "main menu" access button.



When I get within about 10 feet of the truck, the unit recognizes (bluetooth) my cell phone is ready to go. I push the main button and it "asks" me what I want to do. Dials by voice recognition and 20 saved numbers, by name. It is run through the Infinity sound system; mutes the "radio" for incoming and outgoing calls.



Great product.

In the research I've done, it warns that some of the amplified (ie infinity) sound systems will need to have some custom wiring done. From what I understand, the 03 and up have an amp behind the glove box as opposed to individual amps on each speaker like the 2nd gen trucks "premium" sound system. Can anyone confirm this for me?



DOWG, do you have any idea if they custom wired everything or if they were able to use the plug in adapters that are available?

Glad to see a couple Motorola kits installed. I've been looking at the Moto IHF-1000 to replace an older Moto kit for a previous Nokia phone (non blue-tooth). Any more feedback on that one? I realize it won't perfect, but I'd love to the pros and cons up front. Have you used the feature allowing you to select phone menu items while on a call? ("press 3 for customer service")

CJ8Rockcrawler: yes there was some "special" wiring and some sort of "special" electrical connector thingee and "special" installation procedure which is how I ended up with a $600 handsfree bluetooth... ... ..... I do not remember exactly, but all the "special" stuff was about 50% of the cost.



Anyway, it works, good, so I'm happy.

I just finished installing the ck3100 in my CTD. I haven't taken it out on the road to try it yet, but the install was super simple w/ the bluetooth adapter wiring kit from Crutchfield. It was completely plug n' play. I hooked everything up in about 20 minutes and thought no way could it be this easy... Sure enough, everything works when I fired it up. It took longer to route wires and mount everything than to figure out the wiring. I think it took me about 2 hours total to install. I'll report back later on the performance after I get a few calls under my belt.
