Recommendations for a WDH?

my new 5er has a lot of movement once we are set up. more than we like anyway. (we could make our old bumper pull feel as solid as a house, no floor shake at all). saw this product in trailer life. makes sense but so did a paper hat to some folks. was wondering about actual owners using it. thanks, johnny

im a cheap guy... and i mean cheap. . , i can easily think of a way to throw some tube together with an old scissor jack and a slab of steel on it in order to make a front end jack with the idea of stabilizing a 5er... and while at the junk yard pick up a couple more for the other 4 corners of the trailer... .

but thats just me...

Im curious do you know what the difference between the 4 and 6 stabilizer bars are and what do you use. This looks like a great system im sick of the pin stabilizer that works only on perfectly flat ground.

i've got the glide out (non-scissors) rear stabilizers and they have braces on them already they work wonders in stabilizing the rear of the trailer. While were on this subject what does anyone know about using tire locks as an aid in stabilizing the trailer. The manufacturers (of the tire locks) claim they stabilize but does anyone have personal experience?

I have looked long and hard at why my new camper has more movement then my old one. they both were around the same size, same scissor jack on the rear, same landing gear in the front, same 2 legged brace I use on the toung.

One day I was flushing the black tank and I felt the RV moving (daughter was doing something inside). I looked and discovered that the trailer was actually flexing the side walls of the tires. Turns out the last camper had small load range E tires, the new one has larger load range D tires.

I do have a BAL scissors jack that goes between the tires. Yes it will help with front to back movement if you moving the camper hard enough to actually cause the tires to roll, but not for normal movement while sitting up on the jacks.

I am going to make a set of jack stabilizers for the front and see what it does. I figured out $45. 00 in material, labor is free, I enjoy working on stuff. :)
