Hi,

Just checking to see if anyone is using "Lightforce" driving lights?

If so how do you like them and how do they compare to say a good Piaa system? Been looking at them on the internet, looks like they can be adjusted from a fog lite to a pinpoint lite and everything inbetween. www.lightforce.com

Thanks,

Lonnie

Both my Dad and I have them on our trucks. We both have the middle sized light. They are nice and they are adjustable. You just turn the entire housing till you like the beam pattern. My only complaint is that they are not as bright as I thought they would be, but then again I am comparing them to my old 130 watt lights and these are only 100 watt. I would buy them again if that helps. If you are going to buy them, call around as much as possible. The prices here in Anchorage varied by $25 per light. I eneded up buying them at a big rig shop for a lot less than the local NAPA wanted for them. I also got a set of the blue filters, they are susposed to help in blowing snow...

and another thing, they do not come in kit form. When you buy them you get the light and that is it. You have to do all the wiring and set up your own relay.

I agree with JR2 in that they are not as bright as I was told. I also would buy them again. There is also a dark spot projected which can be annoying but can also be adjusted out .

There are several colored filters available for different applications. Yellow for fog and blue for blowing snow. JR2 has the blue ones but the supplier is out of them and I am waiting.

Most of the 18 wheelers up here have the large size Lite Force lights, one had 5 across the top of his sleeper.

They are well made (in Australia) and are tough as they are made of Lexan.

Hi John,

They look good!

Jack,

where did you buy them, do they have a web page? I think I'm going for the 9" ones, found a place that sells them for $105. 00 each. Does this sound like about the right price to you? I know other brands are cheaper but the thing that appeals the most to me abt. lightforce is they can be adjusted to your driving conditions. :)

I also have the 9" light force lights on the front of my rig. I like them as much as the 9" PIAA's if not more. They are adjustable and with the focus adjusted for distance driving, I can see more than a mile ahead. I plan to put another pair or two on the front. Great for driving between Fairbanks and Anchorage. As for the price of one oh five, thats a killer price. Bye two sets for that price.

" the question isn't if you have enough light, the question is, do you have enough alternator!"
