Everyone loved Pennzoil, but the old oil had a lot of parafin (wax) in it that caused things to get gummy. There was always a lot of crud in the heads and the valve covers were generally awful... however the bearing were always in really good shape. We all thought that Pennzoil left some crude behind but lubricated better than anything else...
