I currently run a RE-0880 but want to install either the K&N Aircharger kit or the AFM kit. I like the K&N because it come with a new hose to the turbo. If anyone hasn't seen it click here . Also for those who have it... what do you think and is there enough clearance to use the RE-0880 in place of the RC-4780. :D PS. It took me 8 months to put a avatar on file and two weeks later they cut us off. :{ Oh well, whatever helps the site. :D :D

Chipstien,

The distance from the lip of the open end of the filter to the first obstruction is 12. 5 inches. The contact point is the corner support bodywork just below the hood hinge attachment bolts. If I remember right, the RE is around 15 inches from lip to tip so its quite a bit longer. I've cut and slid my new setup over about 1. 5 inches or so to clear a shock tower brace but it didn't change the setup a whole lot. You can't really push things toward the front because as of right now, the elbow is about 1/2 inch from the alternator. That might be the only hard part of having one formed, there is an intent formed into the K&N part to clear the alt. wiring loom. I didn't really mind losing the pre-filter since we don't get enough dust on this side of the mountains to count for anything:D
