I was doing a search on the computer today and came across the KORE leveling system with the variable rate springs, Bilstein shocks and the spacers for the swaybar. I think this would be a better setup than using coil spring spacers. It seems like every truck I installed spacers on, the ride is rougher but that could be just my imagination.

I have the HD Kore Recon, Ride is better then stock, but if I were to do it again I want go with the VR coils in the Front for a even smoother ride.

Just for a heads up, the Kore leveling kit actually made the front of my truck sit higher than the rear. Enough that I ordered the mini packs for the rear, which added 1 inch of lift. The truck rides better in the front but the mini packs did nothing for the highway ride. Billstein 5100 ' s at all four corners. Be prepared to spend the extra money for the rear.

If you could swing it, look at the full replacement leaf springs.

I installed the KORE Leveling kit on my '06 at about 1K miles. It is a quality kit, good instructions, took about 4 hours to install.

My truck is level. I also installed the Billstein shocks in the rear at the same time, wanted them to be the same as the front. The kit and the added rear shocks made a world of difference over the stock shocks. Nice ride, I would certainly do this kit again. I have a little over 30K on the KORE kit and have had NO problems with it's components or any front end issues. My tire wear is the same side to side, measured it with a tread gauge.

I agree that the spacers DO seem to give a rougher ride, I used them on another truck and ended up taking them off. I live on a long, washboard road, it was unbearable with the stock springs/shocks, I had to travel at a creep about 15 mph it was so bad. Now, I travel at 35-40 mph.

I considered install ing the mini packs, also considered the full leaf replacements, installed air bags instead. I also installed the KORE single steering shock. It has made a world of difference in the slight RH pull due to road taper.

CDonaldson, thanks for the report. I have also considered the steering stabilizer, but want to get the leveling kit on first. Did you buy your parts from Kore directly, or did you go thru a distributor?

I had started out with the coil spacer and did not care for it at all. Installed the kore kit and it is so much better. I too installed the air bags in the rear and also have the bilsteins all the way around. Go for the kore kit over the spacer. You won't be dissapointed.

In my research before getting the Recon (with mini-packs) is that the full leaf replacement are really for serious off-roaders who baja down trails at 90mph. The mini-packs are designed to keep the stock hauling ability, increase ride height slightly and come into play on full travel such as in a rare off-road trip. I've been happy. Pics are in my profile.

I bought my kit from a distributor. At that time you could not buy from KORE directly, don't know if you can now either.

Don't buy the stabilizer if you've got the updated tie rod set up from Dodge for 3rd gens. Kore doesn't make a bracket it for it yet. They're currently developing one.

What is the updated tie rod setup? My 04 only has 48,000 miles on it. Is the update something you use when the origionals are worn? Just making sure there is not a recall.
