Watch-out guys... ... ... ... Heyboss is on a roll today:D

So..... we call Heyboss shineboy because of his shiny truck,

Do we call Wheaties, propboy because of his propellor?

  :D

Black oil does not mean bad!

Just something to help guide the color of oil!

Most of the black in our oil is soot. This is measure in % and I believe the trigger for an abmormal reading (Getting pretty high) is 1. 5% soot. The newer EGR engines are going to push soot readings to 4%... big reason the PC9 oil is comming out.

Our Cummins engines are probably some of the cleanest burning diesel engines their is. And soot readings coospond with that. For the first 190K miles I have never seen a reading over 0. 3% soot. This is will 25K miles on the same oil, no bypass filters. Mine starts to get black after about 2 - 3K miles. It is pretty black at 6K, getting blacker at 12K and worse at 18K. It is black black black at 24K miles on same oil. Readings are from 0. 1 to my resent high of 0. 4%. This is not ever half way to the warning point. I to can blow black smoke to high even if "Not Responsible". Lots of tailpipe black smoke will push up the soot. But it takes allot... . trust me.

If you like to see clean oil, add a Gulf Coast ??? Bypass or some other extreme bypass that cleans the oil.

Otherwise don't worry about the color. That is what additives are for.

Leave a thread alone so you can go get something done, and look what happens! I should know better. :D

Lessee, where to begin. Okay, EZ only goes on a 24V -- I can live with that. Everyone always posts complete and accurate information, Right! ... well, almost always. How about, is that calculated mileage, or is WyoJim going by the overhead travel computer? (... just in case you travel overhead).

HeyBoss, I think I could get those big magnets on my bumper too, then follow 18-wheelers around, and get nearly infinite mileage!

Why did the turbo 'bark'? Because it was chasing the BHAF. Bad, very bad... Didn't MacTruck have a BHAF/Hadley combo?, basically a Big Hadley Air Filter?

HeyBoss is called 'ShineBoy' for well earned reasons. 'PropBoy? . . isn't that a little like 'Propeller Head'? But that isn't where it is! Now 'Propeller Butt' -- that's a moniker!!!!

What was this thread about any way? Oh! the EZ!! Like how EZ it is to get off the subject.

EZ

I just put the ez on. how big is this elbow ? so far i havent put either the elbow / or the turnbuckle on. y2k 3500. what to do O what to do???

Turnbuckle is for 2500 - 3500 auto's only. This trick is designed for the HY35 turbo.

You have an HX35 turbo (lucky) so you would use the enclosed elbow. It screws into you wastegate line. It's about 1 1/2 long with a 90 degree turn on it.

Wheaties, :-laf Your killin me :-laf

Hey MackTruck!

When you hit that horn, you shake a couple thousand miles of dust off your air filter. Pretty neat plan!:-laf

Yeah and if I hooked the hadley's to the turbo I would have an Air injection system.

For those times you need a little EXTRA Boost;)

I am going to hook my air horn to the waste gate hose. That way I will know when my waste gate opens... ... . hehehe

Hey wheaties... ... ..... Let's keep this conversation down to plain English!!!!!! I get very:confused: when you're wearing your speech hat and come out with all the political bull S**t:rolleyes:

Now be a little more specific, magnets on which bumper? if you put them on the rear bumper it would be kind tough to follow

18-wheelers, you get the picture prop boy:-{} One thing I agree with you lets keep this tread Ez. :D :D

Bigstick... You must have an Automatic. The elbow should have made a big difference. Install a NAPA 2790 air filter and you will make less smoke. You will like the sound too, not louder... just different.

My 22+ mpg was calculated mileage. I don't think the early 24 valves had a computer available for this.

When I drained my Amsoil at 16000 miles it was still slipperyer than snot. The only reason I changed it was because I didn't like the looks of it that black. The analysis of it at 8000 was good.

You had better get the pressure turned up if you have an Automatic and an EZ. I had 50,000 miles on my truck and camper set up, and it was slipping the TC when it was still stock. I ordered the both the EZ and valve body from Bill Kondolay at the same time. He said his Valve Body would stop the slipping even with the EZ... It did.

WyoJim,

That is great mileage guy! I would love to see that!

Now HeyBoss,

I am not, nor have I ever, affiliated myself with any political party. I'm not running for office you know. If you think that 'Captain Email' is a political office, well, what can I say? If I use big words, it's because I assume you know what they mean, anything else would be patronizing, uh. . talking down to the other person. Translation: What political bull$hit? :p

Now, you are right. If I'm not going to be specific about which bumper, then someone on the TDR is going to try it, get it wrong, and complain that their mileage went down instead of up. Or worse, go into a spin when the rear end tries to swap with the front. Tailgaters might even find themselves considerably closer than they intended to be--then where would we be? What would the liability be if I gave incomplete advice like that? The entire justice system might break down trying to figure out who was at fault.

"I couldn't stop your honor, the guy in front of me had magnets!"

"Be specific son, which bumper?", asks the Judge.

Look Wheaties

Slowly raise your fingers from the key board:) Good... ..... Now sit back, relax... ... grab a cuban cigar and enjoy the show;)

No one said you're running for office, I would be the first one to vote for you:eek: Do you know what happens when you Ass You Me? Yeah you make an A** out of You and Me:rolleyes:

The best things in life are the simplest ones. You don't have to come up with all the political bull s**t to explain your mpg to the judge!

Just tell him, Look your honor I am not responsible for my magnets.

See how easy that is?:-{}

PS: let's keep this tread on the Ez side:rolleyes:

Fred, I am enjoying the show, you betcha! :D We're having fun now!

Actually, I was thinking about the suggestion you made about blocking off two injector lines, What if I did three instead? See, then it would be correctly valved (a 12-valver) and I should get better mileage. Could I still use my EZ for that or would I have to sell it and get something else?

Oo.
