Anyone with 5in Exhaust??

I was wanting to know if anyone has the 5 in exhaust?? and how does it fit past the spare tire... or doesn't it??? I was thinking of maybe a 5in from the muffler back... or hehe. . or where it was before the CAT dragged it away...

5" exhaust

i just put my own 4" exhaust on. there was quite a bit of clearance to the spare tire--2+" anyway. i would expect no problem, unless the pipe wasn't bent correctly. if it were too close, might want to put a heat shield on it to protect the spare. i burned a hole in the spare on my old '76 3/4 ton gasser with the pipe too close to the spare. . luckily, it didn't catch fire.

easy as 3" 4" 5"

I just made a 5" system from parts from local ( truck )parts store.



I cut stock off about 8" from top, put 3" to 4" adapter,

4" to 5" adapter. Then used 45* angle to 46" pipe, this goes

into 10" round by 52" long muffler. On the muffler used 90* bend

to go out in front of back tire. On the 90* part I used a chrome

turn down pipe which made the tip stick past edge of truck 2".



It sounds like a real truck now. All the parts total was $276. 00



I don't think you can make this go over back axle, but I wanted mine to come out the side. Hope this helps.

I have the 5" from Diesel Pro and it fit very well. It took about an hour for the removal and the install together. It exits out the stock location. It has a tight clearance between the frame and the transfer case but it fit well. I do a lot of farming and I am off road a lot going in and creek beds and there is no hitting when I get the truck in a bind either. I like the look and the sound, TOO!!!



If you are worried about it hitting my results are just from me I do not know of any others with 5". So fo rwhat it is worth I can say with the abuse I put mine through there are no problems so far. Got almost 6000 miles on it now w/exhaust
