I do, but only because I haven't washed the brake dust of my front wheels in six months. I'd like to see some pictures myself though, only because my truck is all black including the trim (sport package) and I think it might be cool to get rid of the last things that reflect left on the truck.
I pulled my wheel covers off a long time ago when I was rotating tires and just never put them back on 'cuz it looked so cool. If you want to go higher end, at least seeing the black there will give you an idea of how cool it looks. Mine looks a lot like Merrick's, except I didn't put the chrome caps back over the hub.
I have the alu shiny wheels on my 2500 so pulling the covers is not an option, I have been thinking about having them powder coated black... but wanted to see a couple of trucks (maybe even a green one) with black rims before I do it.
My father has a '01 2500 Quad Cab Sport - V10(no match for our Cummins) and wants black rims to match the rest of the truck. I spoke with a body and fender guy that I work with and he says its cheaper to buy new rims than to strip the clear coat and properly prep the aluminum rims for paint.
american racing makes a black wheel but it is steel. it is called the AR 767. it comes in 16x8 & 16x7 with the 8x6. 5" bolt pattern. i have those on my diesel tahoe in the 16x8" with 285's and 305's on front and rear. . looks pretty good i think, but i kinda wish i had 16x9's in the rear.
I have the American Racing 'Tyrant' wheels. They are Black and polished Aluminum. You can see them on their web site. With the 315 Coopers, I have had many compliments on them.
Here's the photo you PM'd me about - polished alloy wheels I had powdercoated black. A kid at the shop couldn't understand why I wanted to cover up all that shiny aluminum.

I have toyed with the idea of andonizing my stock alloys black but have never followed through with it. This is for two reasons. First I was wondering what they would look like after a couple months of scratchs and second the anodonizing companies are not sure the a wheel would retain its shape with the heat, but this is second hand info. I love black wheels on any truck and a set of back ricksons on a 3500 can't be beat. JMO
