I've read a few posts lately that say the Westach dual gauge is lit from the front and that it might be distracting at night. I was hoping someone with Westach gauges might have some day/night pictures. Thanks for any help.

Don't have pictures, but the ones I had in my 2001 were lit by a peanut bulb that was inserted in the back. It came with colored covers and I put the green cover on them. They are well lit and not a problem at night. I have mine wired through the dimmer circuit for the instrument panel, but I have never really ever turned them down. I will say that the Boost/EGT gauge is a little brighter then the FP gauge, but not really a problem. Mine were located on the "A" pillar and were fine there... ;)

I have the westach in the srt10 pillar, and I like it at night. Since it's hooked up to the dimmer wire, you can dim the lighting in the gauge as well - however beyond that, you can pull the actual bulb farther out or push it farther into the gauge to get the proper match to the light levels of the dash.

I too have the srt10 A pillar with a white Westach combo gauge (green cover on bulb). I used a series connected 1K ohm trim pot from Radio Shack located close to where the bulb wire is spliced into the panel lights wire. This allowed me to match the panel and gauge light intensities with the A pillar in place. Just pull out the light switch plastic panel and adjust the pot with a small screw driver.
