Now i am thinking about a running board to run on my truck. . it seems these give exellent protection. I need to protect my investment as much as possible. I am running 315's right now with bushwhacker pocket style flares. The flares dont help chipping much so i need to find something that will. . Please post the pics of your boards

Thanks

Nick

i have factory mopar premium aluminum running boards sitting in my basement right now waiting for install [factory boards and lots of holes need to be drilled in body to mount. nice eh:rolleyes:] they will wait until warm weather then for me to install... they should look nice. i have seen the chrome versions on other trucks, and i think the black version i have will look good.

I don't have running boards on my current Ram, but you are right, they are the best protection you'll get. I had Deezee's on my 01. 5 and was very happy with them.

My Dad has the NASTA stainless Steel Step bars on an '03 4 Dr. They flex too much for our liking. Have called them 3-4 times asking for support but the "guy" who knows what to do is always gone. Customer support is lacking. FYI b4 you spend your dollars.

I have Bremen Technologies running boards installed and rally like them. The model I have has a step to get into the bed of the truck using the front section of the folding bed cover.

Bremen Boards

Artie,

I see you are in Tempe. I am in the west valley and would like to find a dealer for Bremen. Where did you get your boards ?

I have the Mopar plastic/steel boards. They are pricey and require about 24 holes to drill, but they are incredibly tough. Under the plastic step is a roll formed steel step fastened to the cab with three stamped steel brackets. With a set of front mud flaps cut to match the contour of the boards, very little of the cab gets any debris off of the wheels.

If you have the sport appearance package, they are available factory painted.

mopar alum diamondplte runnin boards. got a decent discount and they good for keepin debris off side. not great for off rd grnd clearnce tho. they had no verticle piece behind the board so we stuck a piece in there. pic in sig

There is nobody locally selling Bremen any longer so I ended up ordering directly from the factory. Talked with Melissa Miles at customer service.

I have Westin Platinum Series Chrome-Stainless steps in my basement if my truck ever comes. I got them on e-bay from an outfit in Florida.

Auto trim boards

Had um on my 96 and after 8 years the paint on the sides of the truck was still like new. Boards were very hard to clean in Winter. Want something different on the 04. do the Mopar chrome side bars help much for keeping crap from hitting the sides of the truck, anyone?

rmh,

i have the torklift tiedowns on each corner. the fronts are made specifically for trucks w/ runnnin boards. they clear boards ok but hang down lower than i like for backcountry travel

I have the Laverne Stainless running boards on my 04 Dully. Very good mounting with large brackets that mount to existing holes, I believe. I will post photos if anyone is interested. I am out of town this week, but I will post on Monday.
